Alien: A Freudian Nightmare
Famously pitched as "Jaws in space”, you don’t need a PhD in psychology to realise that the original 1979 Alien movie has much deeper waters than that. This great article in Sabotage Times spells it out in words even I can understand. Maybe the line should have been ‘in space, no one can hear you… dream’? Hmmm, I guess that’s my Hollywood copywriting career over before it started.
Useful Photography

From Amsterdam based advertising agency KesselsKramer, Useful Photography magazine celebrates utilitarian photography that you might easily miss. Previous issues include winners of insignificant awards, farmers' guides to cows and some of the more creative images used to sell items on auction websites. However, it's issue #008 that caught our eye – the opening frames of porn movies. Whether it's a buxom blond delivering a pizza or a young stud preparing to fix a washing machine, these images are bound to rase at least a smile.
Available from usefulphotography.com or direct from KesselsKramer's Hoxton Square shop/studio.
